Query FormsQuery Forms are reusable web forms set up by administrators to allow users to perform segmentation and run reports using a combination of check boxes, date selectors and drop-down lists. This section describes how to construct query forms for users. Users can use Query Forms to perform segmentation and run reports using a combination of check boxes, date selectors and drop-down lists to enable them to create sophisticated reports without having to interact with the logic behind the form. On systems where performance is crucial, Administrators can configure a client setting so that background settings are suppressed while users are interacting with Query Forms. This results in the loss of the tooltip helpers, but will improve performance and give the user more control of when processing takes place, for example, when manually calculating forms. Query forms can host visual tools like dashboards, charts and grids. They can also use parameter functionality that directs users on different paths through the form, based on the selections made. Note that the application of resolution levels work slightly differently in Query Forms when compared to equivalent behavior in Segment documents. |
